The shadow describes the parts of yourself you try to hide and pretend doesn’t exist. It is the "dark side" of your personality because it consists mainly of negative human emotions and impulses. The Shadow also represents the parts you no longer claim to be your own and, in some cases, inherent positive qualities. When you work with your shadow, you reclaim those disowned parts and give yourself more opportunities for growth and development.
